The Andaman Sea is known for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and tropical islands. It is roughly 1,200 km long and 645 km wide, and is bordered by Myanmar to the north, Thailand and Malaysia to the east, Indonesia to the south, and India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands to the west.
5 Species of turtle can be seen here, although most sightings are of just 2 main species. They can be seen when either snorkeling or diving. This course is a beginner friendly guide to identifying the turtles that we find in the Andaman Sea.

This course will teach you some simple methods of identifying which turtle you are looking at. You will learn about head shape, beak shape, panels (scutes) on the shell, and scales on the face.
No. If you are comfortable entering the water with a lifejacket on, you can still watch turtles in their natural environment.
